Bangor Daily News: Vote ‘yes’ on question 1

I urge BDN readers to vote yes on Question 1 on our November ballot, “An Act to Limit Contributions to Political Action Committees that Make Independent Expenditures.”

This would set a $5,000 limit for giving money to political action committees that spend money independently to support or defeat candidates for office.

Currently, super wealthy donors can give unlimited contributions to influence our elections.

Please vote yes to limit the political influence of multi-millionaires on Maine elections. Mainers can learn more at the website of Maine Citizens to End SuperPACs, citizenstoendsuperpacts.org.
