Remembering 9/11
Each of us remembers where we were and what it felt like on that September morning twenty-three years ago. The trauma of that day will live with us for the rest of our lives.
Today, we remember the men, women, and children who died at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on United Airlines Flights 93 and 175, and on American Airlines Flights 11 and 77; we remember the 343 members of the New York Fire Department and the 23 members of the New York Police Department who perished; and, the thousands of survivors and first responders who have died of cancers and other related 9/11 illnesses.
Today and everyday, let us work to make our nation a more perfect union in remembrance of those who died on that day; in honor of those who have given their lives to protect our democracy and our freedoms; and, in service to future generations of Mainers and Americans.
God Bless the United States of America,
- The Team at Yes On 1
