Campaign Update: September 5, 2024

Maine's Citizens to End Super PACs has placed Question 1 on the November statewide ballot to get big and dark money out of politics.

By placing a limit of $5,000 on contributions to political action committees (PACs), Yes On 1 stops billionaires and big corporations from contributing unlimited amounts of money through Super PACs to buy elections and political influence in Maine.

With only two months remaining in this election, can you please chip in at least $5 now to help us educate voters about this important initiative? Click here to donate and support our people-powered campaign to end Super PACs.

Opponents of Question 1 know that their position in favor of buying elections and rigging our political system to benefit themselves is a losing augment. Instead of telling the truth, special interests will attempt to mislead voters into backing down from this fight.

We believe that they have once again underestimated the Maine people and our resolve to fix a broken political system. We also know that false and misleading ads require a strong response. Our campaign needs your help to raise awareness about the ballot question and respond to attacks

Click here to help us win Yes On 1 by chipping in at least $5 today. Your contribution will help us organize and mobilize volunteers across Maine to knock doors and make calls.

We need a system that works–where your vote always counts, your voice always matters, and our democracy isn’t for sale. Yes On 1 is the change we need to end the corrosive influence of big and dark money in elections and return power to the Maine people.

Onward to victory,

Kyle Bailey, Campaign Manager

P.S. The nationalization of Maine’s elections by Super PACs has diminished the voices, and threatens the autonomy of the Maine people. We cannot allow this continued corrosion of democracy by big and dark money special interests from away. Please help us take back Maine elections for the Maine people by chipping in at least $5 online here right now!
